HL Precision · Gene & Biomarker Review

Your DNA is context—not destiny.

A structured wellness service for South African adults that combines selected genetic findings, relevant current biomarkers, detailed health context and qualified professional review.

What this means: no diagnosis, no medication instruction and no automatic supplement prescription. Every released finding shows what was measured, the evidence strength, the limits and the context that changed the interpretation.

What you receive

A review you can inspect—not a black-box score.

The report keeps genetics, present-day health information and professional judgement separate. You can see where a finding came from, how strong the evidence is and why an action was included, limited or withheld.

Finding-by-finding explanation

01

What was measured, the observed state, evidence grade, relevant populations and known limitations.

Your health context applied

02

Medicines, allergies, diagnosed conditions, goals, lifestyle and verified biomarkers can qualify or block an interpretation.

Named professional decision

03

The reviewer’s role, decision, date, scope and signature are attached to the released version.

Traceable source record

04

Questionnaire, consent, assay, rule and report versions are preserved so a result can be reproduced and corrected.

The service pathway

Six accountable stages. No shortcuts between them.

Eligibility, consent, health context, collection, laboratory quality and professional approval each have their own evidence and stop conditions.

  1. 01

    Suitability

Confirm age, location, purpose and supervised collection before creating a health account.

  2. 02

    Understanding & consent

Review what the service can and cannot establish, then make separate data and result choices.

  3. 03

    Health context

Complete a private, resumable intake covering medicines, conditions, goals, lifestyle and preferences.

  4. 04

    Supervised collection

Attend an approved site where identity, kit, barcode, seal and chain of custody are checked.

  5. 05

    Laboratory & interpretation

Quality-controlled results are evaluated against versioned evidence and deterministic rules.

  6. 06

    Professional review

An assigned professional resolves conflicts, approves the report and agrees up to three priorities.

Detailed service timeline

Review domains

Seven bounded areas. No single “health score”.

Your priorities lead the report. A finding appears only within the configured assay scope and evidence rules, and it cannot override a contraindication or current clinical fact.

Explicitly outside scope

Diagnosis, ancestry, paternity, carrier screening, pharmacogenomics, reproductive testing, mental-health prediction and paediatric testing.

01

Nutrition & nutrient pathways

How selected variants may influence nutrient handling when interpreted with diet, medicines and current biomarkers.

02

Energy & metabolic context

Associations relevant to energy regulation and metabolic wellness, without diagnosing metabolic disease.

03

Sleep & circadian traits

Trait-level context considered alongside schedule, sleep quality, breathing symptoms and medication.

04

Movement, fitness & recovery

Selected performance and recovery associations, qualified by training history, injury and current function.

05

Stress-response context

Wellness-level biological context only; never personality, psychiatric diagnosis or dangerousness prediction.

06

Inflammation & oxidative pathways

Evidence-graded pathway education; no “detox score”, disease claim or product mandate.

07

Healthy-ageing context

A bounded synthesis of relevant findings and modifiable context—not a biological-age promise.

Supervised collection onlyIdentity, kit, barcode and seal are checked before dispatch.

Sample integrity

The result starts with a traceable sample.

Collection takes place at an approved site. The collector confirms the booking, validates the unused kit and expiry, activates the barcode using two identifiers, records the seal and creates a custody receipt.

  • Pseudonymous specimen identity sent to the laboratory
  • Every custody handoff records actor, site and time
  • Mismatch, damaged seal or inadequate sample enters quarantine
  • No-call findings remain no-call—nothing is inferred

How a finding earns its place

Evidence first. Context second. Review before release.

A

High-confidence support

May support an approved action when the measured context and safety rules also allow it.

B

Moderate support

May support a qualified action with population limits and reviewer judgement made explicit.

C

Educational only

Can explain a pathway after approval, but cannot generate an action by itself.

D / Exclude

Not used for action

Insufficient, conflicting, unapproved or out-of-scope evidence produces no customer action.
